Beginners please!
It’s very easy to get started curling! We provide all you need, including equipment, shoes and instruction (and the ice rink of course!).

A session lasts for two hours, plenty of time to learn how to play – and to have a fun game as well. Sessions start at 10am, 12 noon, 2pm, 4pm 6pm and 8pm daily.

Curling is usually played with eight people – two teams of four. To hire on lane for eight players costs £144 for two hours, which works out at £18 each , including equipment shoes and coaching. We don’t allow novices on the ice without an instructor.

There are three lanes, so up 24 players can play on the rink at one time.

If you wish to book for less than eight people, we offer the following options:

For 6 or more players you are best to book a lane as usual (£144). This works out more expensive per player, but remember, you get to throw more curling tones because there are fewer of you!

For 3 to 5 players, you may prefer to book only one hour instead of two. This will depend on ice being available. This option costs £88 per hour.

For 1 or 2 players a private lesson can be booked lasting one hour at a cost of £30 for one person or £20 each for two.

The rink has a fully licensed bar – and we can arrange catering to your requirements. <

Junior Curling
A coaching session for juniors (11 to 15 year-olds) takes place at 6pm on Tuesdays. This costs only £7 per person, including shoe hire. Again, contact us as soon as you can to book a place.

Rink Membership
Regular curlers can enjoy a discount on ice fees by joining Fenton’s Rink. This costs only £10 for the season and entitles you to enter the regular leagues and competitions run at the rink as well as a reduction on ice charges. Click here for an application form. You may prefer to join the resident club, The South of England Curling Club (SECC), which includes Rink membership in its subscription. Schools
We have a number of local schools now running Curling sessions; the English School Championship takes place in March 2009. If your school would like to participate next season, please contact us and we will put you in touch with the co-ordinator.

Private Hire
The curling rink is available for private hire, including the club room and bar – please contact us for details.

Deposit and Cancellation Policy
We require a deposit of £50 per lane at the time of booking. Bookings are provisional until the deposit is paid – we take credit cards, cash or cheques. Deposits are refundable on bookings cancelled up to 21 days before the date booked. Thereafter deposits are not refundable. The
balance is payable before play begins on the date of the booking.
